We would love to see as many Labradoodles as possible on the day.

There will be novelty events and attractions on the day. Tamaruke will have their own marquee as well and we will be available to spend time with you and answer any questions you may have.

In light of the fact that the AUD is currently so strong against the USD, we have reduced the price of our Breeding Puppies.
We have some very exciting new bloodlines upcoming and just born with Toledo's first litter born on the 9-June and we also have other upcoming breeding prospects in all sizes and in colours of Chocolate, Cafe, Caramel and Gold.
ALL breeding puppies remain here until they pass all of their health tests (at no extra cost to the buyer) and we sell only prcd PRA 'Clear A' progeny or adults.

At this time we have a few places available for the upcoming litters due in the coming weeks in Miniature, Medium and small Standard. We are expecting colours of Gold/Apricot, Cream, Chocolate/cafe and caramel. Litters will also to be born throughout 2008 to provide for our waiting list.

We are very aware of the risks associated with purchasing a puppy via a website. You can not always guarantee that what is promoted on any particular website is a truthful statement of what is actually occurring at that facility. You will not see all of our breeding dogs as most are living with their guardian family but you will see happy and social dogs who will greet you with a wagging tail.
Note: Our dogs breed a maximum of four litters only before being de-sexed. This ensures they are young when they are retired at which time they either remain with their guardian family or are offered as companions to a loving family.
We apply a holistic approach to our breeding program considering the Dog not only what we can produce from it.

We are so proud of Tilly and Nakita who have achieved very well at Obedience recently. Samantha - Tilly's owner and Jane - Nakita's owner have worked very hard to have their girls ready for their competition. Tilly was placed in 3rd for her first outing and Nakita only one point behind. Both had to work with strong competition.
We are so proud of their achievements and will post more information in the near future.

For quite a while now we have been working toward developing the Tamaruke Australian Labradoodle to be the most genetically strong Labradoodles possible with amazing temperaments. We are proud of our acheivements and success.
We are now breeding toward enhancing the coat quality of our Labradoodles.
Over the years, as the breed has evolved, the Australian Labradoodle coat has become quite thick in many bloodlines.
Tamaruke have been working toward developing a looser non-shedding coat which is more suited to the Australian Climate. The coat is easier to maintain, looks amazing and is still hypoallergenic and non-shedding. We will post more on this later but please contact us if you would like to discuss.

It is time for all Labradoodles to be clipped at Tamaruke!!!!

When you visit you will not see flowing coats for a few months.......but they do look very 'neat'

Labradoodles do not need to be clipped as regularly as a Poodle. You will only need to clip your 'Doodle' three times a year if you intend to keep them short. A regular trim (every 10 - 12 weeks) is all that is needed if you would like to keep them Neat and Tidy...groom every week to 10 days.

we clip the 'Doodles' in summer as a convenience more than anything...the coat actually demonstrates excellent thermal/insulation qualities and dries quickly after swimming or in the sand.

A Television station recently ran a story regarding the sale of 'Poodle' cross dogs which are being sold via pet stores.
We would like you to know that we DO NOT sell ANY of our puppies through Pet Stores. We have personal contact with ALL purchasers of our puppies. We DO NOT agree with the Poodle Cross breeds which are indiscriminately being bred just for the sake of producing a non-shedding coat.
NOTE: Most of the Poodle Cross breeds are just a Poodle Crossed with another breed...these dogs will mature to shed their coats. Most of the Poodle Cross breeders DO NOT Health test their breeding dogs...whereas WE DO test ALL breeding dogs, we have developed the breed to a consistant Non-shedding coat and a Multi Generation status. We have a long genetic history on ALL of our breeding dogs and we Guarantee ALL of our puppies.
Many Pure Bred Dog Breeders don't breed to the same standards that we do.

We have had some very serious rain lately a true contrast to the drought we were experiencing this time last year....ahhh Australia....a land of 'drought' and 'flooding rain'...love it!!! Never dull in Australia!!!
We had a weekend of local experiences.....the Hunter Valley is so lovely at this time of year....not too long and we will be into Wine Harvest.
The Valley View here is amazing......we never grow tired of them......from Cloudcatcher Mountains to Valley View that just go on forever, not to mention Sunset .......with red wine (or white) and good company what more could we ask for!!!

This is such a nice time of the year. The weather is not too hot (yet) and the nights are still cool.
Very soon it will be 45 degrees during the day and the nights will not make it much cooler.
Although our Doodle Friends cope quite well with the heat, at this time we clip most of the dogs very short.
This gives us 'breathing space' with grooming.
Yes most of our dogs are with their guardian families....but we still have our own dogs onsite who need to be maintained and groomed. We keep four dogs with their coats groomed not clipped but if you are visiting us please be prepared to see some dogs who have also been clipped short.
Both Mark and I still work outside the home and with the demands for puppies growing daily the workload is also increasing. Keeping some of the coats short is one way of cutting the workload....and giving us more time to spend with our beautiful animals.

You will notice that we have been extending the information on our breeding dogs and that many of our dogs will have 'Origin' included in their information.
What does 'origin' mean?
Origin means the bloodline of that dog (or the parents) is not related to any other in the Labradoodle world.
We are working closely with our Genetic advisor in developing new bloodlines and colours.
If the Multi Generation Labradoodle is to continue to evolve and remain strong we must strengthen the gene pool and developing new bloodlines will ensure our breeding program is one of the best in the country if not the world.

Stay posted for information on our new and exciting STUD Dogs. We have some gorgeous Caramel Studs and a 5th Generation Parti 'Doddle' we have just purchased to compliment our program.
For you..... this means lots of gorgeous Caramel, Gold, Parti and Chocolate puppies will be available in the very near future.
You will notice that we have started uploading all of the Health test details/results for the Breeding Dogs. We are very proud of the excellent results they are acheiving thus far.
We are yet to enter the Males/Boys...they are on file here so if you require the information before we have had a chance to upload it then please contact us.
If the Health Test results state 'Pending' that is due to the fact that that particular dog is too young at this time.

Yesterday we hosted an inspection of Vets here at Tamaruke.
We are so pleased with how the day went.
Comments were very positive and ranged from
"All of the dogs are very happy and active"
One vet commenetd that he was expecting a farm full of bare paddocks and barking dogs...waiting for someone to come and pay them some attention....he was very pleased that he was not witness to that. His words "You certainly run a very professional clean establishment...i am very impressed and more so with the fact that all of the dogs are very happy, well mannered and confident...he went on to say "your facilities are world class and your standards are extremely high" ..i had to admit that the guardian program plays a huge part in making this possible...for if we didn't conduct the guardian program we would have many more dogs onsite making interaction more difficult due to numbers...
All in all we had a great day and enjoyed the positive feedback.

As from today we will be providing a DVD on Puppy Training with every puppy we sell.The DVD has been developed by professional trainers so you can be assured the correct methods are being used and recommended.
We appreciate that many of our customers are unfamiliar with the concept of training their puppy and desperately want to do the correct thing from the very beginning.
For this reason we feel this is our way of extending our 'duty of care' to our clients and the puppies we sell.

It is heartfelt to see so many of our puppies being provided as Assistance Dogs for Special Needs children and we are pleased to say we have just sold two puppies overseas to go into Therapy and Assistance Dog Training. We are looking forward to regular updates and photos after they have progressed.

It has always been our policy to undertake a full HIP/ELBOW evaluation of ALL breeding Australian Labradoodle dogs/puppies (sold by us) prior to allowing them to go to their new homes. We will now include a full DNA prcd PRA and DNA Profile as part of our services for breeding Labradoodle puppy/dog sales.
This testing is conducted at our expence and ensures that all/any breeding puppies/dogs are of the highest quality and genetic strength possible.

We are seeking applications from people in the Hunter Valley or Sydney areas who might be interested in becoming guardins to some of our breeding Dogs/Puppies. The guardian program is an integral part of our breeding program as it allows the dogs/puppies to live and interact within a family. We have undertaken a program of DNA Testing ALL of our Breeding Dogs for PRA.
What is PRA?
prcd-PRA is a genetic disorder which causes the cells in the retina at the back of the eye to degenerate and die. Most affected dogs will eventually go blind.
As this is inherited as a recessive trait it means the gene must be inherited from each parent in order to cause the disease in an offspring.
When tested, parents will either 'Clear', 'Carriers' or 'Afffected'.
You are still able to breed with a dog that is tested as a 'carrier' or 'affected' but you would breed them with a 'Clear' dog.

The DNA Testing has now allowed us to be able to control and 'Breed Out' all risk of prcd-PRA in our AUSTRALIAN MULTI GENERATION LABRADOODLES. This program is being initiated (at great expence to the breeder)and endorsed by the AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE ASSOCIATION as an indication of our ongoing commitment to eradicating this genetic disorder from our bloodlines.

We have been conducting a little research on other breeds and we were considering purchasing a Logotto and perhpas starting a second breeding program.
The more i researched the more obvious it was...yes the Logotto is a wonderful dog with many great attributes...but the 'Multi Generation Labradoodle' is definitely the superior breed.
We offer intelligence (easy to train), size choice, coat quality, temperament and genetic strength...all in one beautiful bundle. How can i go past what we already have!!!!!
