2 JULY - i can't believe it - today we had a snake in the garden. It gave us such a scare as it was not too far from the puppy yards. We ran to close everyone inside and then hunted for the snake but he escaped.
I hope he is not back for a LONG time!!

One of the benefits of an onsite Veterinary Clinic is that our dogs/puppies do not need to leave our property for treatment - which now negates any risk of Kennel Cough or other transmittable disorders to your puppy prior to him/her leaving us.

Today we said goodbye to Maggs who was with us in preparation training as a Medical Alert Dog.

Maggs will now join his forever Mum - Adele in the USA and be her right hand man.

We wish you both many years of love and devotion. Maggs you are amazing and we wil miss you!!! 

TAMARUKE MADDY

Maddy has been retired after 3 litters with us and will now leave us for Singapore where she will be the resident Service/Assistance dog in a school for Special Needs Children. Maddy will live with the school principal and attend classses each day having free run of the classrooms. Her gentle nature and well mannered desposition makes her perfect for such an important role.

We will miss you Maddy and feel blessed to have had you in our lives but i know the love you give will be returned to you ten fold.

The true Tamaruke  Australian Labradoodle is a purpose bred dog NOT a Labrador Poodle Cross.

Being selectively and purposely bred over many generations, Tamaruke Australian Labradoodles have a long history of genetic strength and demonstrate true service/companion dog temperaments.
Many of our puppies/dogs are currently trained as service & assistance dogs and also successfully competing at Obedience and Agility.

Our dogs/puppies have become well recognised throughout the world for their temperament and ability.

Having extensive experience working with Special Needs Children (Specialising in Autism - ABA) i have had an insight into the lives of a family dealing with Special Needs. We have been blessed to be able to combine this with our knowledge when breeding our Tamaruke Australian Labradoodles and have been providing selective Dog/Puppies for children/adults requiring a Service or Assistance Dog to compliment their lives. Tamaruke is situated in the Hunter Valley Wine region of NSW Australia. Nestled on a farming property we breed Australian Stock Horses, Beef Cattle and of course our beautiful Labradoodle Dogs. Our Labradoodles are honestly a labour of love!!!!

Our Labradoodles have 30 acres of land to run, play in the water and interact with our day to day life. Our puppies are all family bred and raised. We take a holistic approach to our breeding program.

We believe breeding dogs is not a right it is a privilege that far too many people take for granted. Too many breeders are hiding behind a glossy website.

We are ethical breeders and breed to the highest standards possible. We conduct one of the most rigorous and comprehensive health testing programs in Australia. This ensures you receive the best quality Australian Labradoodle possible.

Breeding our (Multi generation) labradoodles is truly a labour of love. Our Bloodlines are gentle and loyal. A Tamaruke Labradoodle is Intuitive and social. These are some of the reasons so many of our puppies are successfully working with Special needs Children/Adults and are also excelling at Obedience and Dog Trials. Since I was a young child I have trained and worked with dogs of various breeds and I can say in all sincerity that our dogs are the most relaxed and easy going temperaments I have seen. They are fun loving and enjoy a game yet instinctively love to relax with you and enjoy your company. We can not imagine our lives with out our beloved Labradoodles.

Our breeding centre is dedicated to the breeding of the multi-generation true Australian Labradoodle.

Yes we do have a waiting List:-
But we would rather breed to provide for a wait list than to indiscriminately breed puppies and risk having no home for them to go to.
It is better to wait for a puppy and buy from a concientious breeder then rush into the purchase and buy from a breeder who is obviously operating a Puppy Mill. 
 
Other Than our onsite Vet and our part time house keeper, we do not employ staff to care for our dogs. We love all of our dogs and enjoy caring for them. It is we who groom them, care for them, feed them and clean the facilities. This is how we KNOW, UNDERSTAND and LOVE each individual dog we own. Our Breeding facility is substantial but we prefer to keep things at a manageable size rather than have too many dogs onsite and risk them being neglected and lonely.
 
We are also so grateful to our Guardian families for the love and devotion they give to their Tamaruke dogs, without our guardian families we would need to have less dogs on our breeding program and the waiting list would be longer.
 
We do generally keep the waiting time to a maximum of 2-3 months with planned litters ongoing but some things are beyond our control when breeding live animals. 

All Tamaruke puppies are born and raised in a family and rural environment with children, farm sights and sounds and a great deal of daily interaction with people and other dogs. Temperament and trainability is vitally important and you will find that our breeding dogs are some of the best Australian Labradoodles that you will find in the world. You will discover we have developed the coat of our labradoodles to be non-shedding and allergy friendly yet looser and easier to maintain than most other multi generation Australian Labradoodles.
 

Our goal at Tamaruke is to continue providing beautiful, healthy genetically sound, well rounded Multi Generation Australian Labradoodles, with correct confirmation, excellent temperaments, which are allergy and asthma friendly for families and breeders around the world. Our puppies/dogs are well prepared for travel to many interstate and international locations.

Personally I have many years of experience working within Early Childhood Education specialising with children who have Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism (having focused on the ABA program). Please feel confident to discuss your special needs as I am happy to help in any way possible and can offer you understanding and advice regarding a puppy or older Labradoodle.

NOTE: We are supportive of the ideals of the AALB and in so we breed to the highest standards possible and abide by a Code of Ethics.

We strive to protect the true Australian Labradoodle but our breeding program is TOTALLY independent and our property is open for inspection. You are welcome to make an appointment to visit us and view the ENTIRE property and ALL of the dogs.

We consider the future of our dogs/puppies and the true Australian Labradoodle very seriously.

Please know we are happy to allow you to visit our property if you in any doubt as to how we conduct our breeding program and maintain the dogs and facilities - bearing in mind that most of our dogs do not live with us - they live with their guardian family

After a period of relative quiet - on the puppy front - Mother Nature has smiled upon us. 

It is RAINING PUPPIES and we have places available from our current litters!!!

Such an unusual event here at Tamaruke!!!!

Last year we experienced a lower than average conception rate - some failed to fall pregnant and some delivered low numbers in their litters - therefore many people were disappointed or had to face a lengthy wait.

This year things have turned around and we now have the exact opposite.

I would like to make it extremely clear, we are in no way associated with Rutland Manor Kennels and do not in any way agree with their practices.

Any puppy bred by Tamaruke is able to be identified by DNA and all Breeding dogs carry a full DNA Profile available upon request.

 

STAR OF THE WEEK  

Tamaruke Paddington Feil who trialled on the weekend in Adelaide for the first time. Out of 22 dogs he passed and came first
He scored 92 but his mum is up to the challenge to do better - she says!!! She feels he can do better because she was very nervous.
